消防学院在 公共安全科 is certified as a training center by the Florida Bureau of Fire St和ards 和 Training. In addition, our program is accredited by the State of Florida’s 保险业司, Bureau of Fire St和ards 和 Training，和 教育部. Graduates of the firefighter or fire inspection programs are eligible to apply for the Florida State 消防队员 examination.
消防队员
The 消防队员 Minimum St和ards Program is the beginning level of fire service training. Students receive extensive classroom 和 practical training in first responder to medical emergencies, hazardous materials, tactics, ropes, entry, support, prevention, extinguishers 和 other fire-related subjects.
The day program last approximately six months, 和 classes meet from 8:00am to 5:00pm on Monday, Tuesday 和 Wednesday. The night program last approximately eight months, 和 classes meet from 5:45pm to 9:45 pm on Monday through Thursday. 偶尔周末 classes may be required to complete training exercises.

The 消防队员 证书 program at Gulf Coast State College is accredited by the State of Florida’s 保险业司, Bureau of Fire St和ards 和 Training 和 the 教育部.
Earn a 证书 in the 消防队员 Program?
To be eligible to apply for the 消防队员 证书 Program
- Have a high school diploma or GED
- 年满18岁
- 达到10分th grade level on the Postsecondary Education Readiness Test (PERT) or CPT. 一个大学 degree may be accepted in lieu of the PERT.
- No felony or misdemeanor convictions that could diminish employment opportunities
- You must submit 和 pay for fingerprinting
- Must be of good moral character
